Dr. Chavez reappointed Associate Surgeon of Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital

Robert E. Chavez , D.D.S., orthodontist and co-founder of ARCH Orthodontics, has been reappointed to the Medical Staff of Brigham and Women’s Hospital as an Associate Surgeon to the Adjunct Staff in the Department of Surgery. The two-year appointment was made by the hospital’s Board of Trustees following recommendations of the Department of Surgery’s Credentialing Committee, the Medical Staff Credentialing Committee, and the Medical Staff Executive Committee.

Dr. Chavez has been associated with the “Brigham,” a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, since 1978. He has also received the coveted Partners in Excellence award on two occasions. Dr. Chavez is a co-founder and sitting Board Member of the Stoughton (Mass.) Youth Commission, having fought for the inclusion of the commission as a town department over 30 years ago. On the humanitarian platform he has participated in Operation Smile, traveling to Hungary, Jordan, Gaza, Kenya and the Philippines to help disadvantaged children with cleft palate and other oral deformities, providing them with free surgeries and dental care. Dr. Chavez along with his son, Dr. Andrew Chase, merged the long standing 38-year practice into ARCH Orthodontics 12 years ago.
