Veterans Day Offer at ARCH Orthodontics

To mark Veterans Day, ARCH Orthodontics is honoring Veterans and all those currently serving in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces –and their families — with a unique offer: A special courtesy discount off the cost of an Orthodontic treatment plan. (Treatment must start before December 31, 2011.)

According to Dr. Robert Chavez who 37 years ago opened his first office in Stoughton, “This is our way of saluting our ‘National Heroes,’ the men and women who defend democracy and protect our country. They deserve a healthy and great smile because of what they’ve done or are doing.”

He adds, “A healthy America needs healthy citizens. Life is full of things to smile about and Orthodontic treatment is an investment in that smile which will reap benefits for a lifetime. A healthy and attractive smile creates a better impression on the outside that permeates from the inside.”

Dr. Chavez said he is especially proud to have on his orthodontic team Dr. Janeen Hughes. It was the events of 9/11 that inspired her to change her plans and become a dentist with a Marine unit headed for Iraq. Dr. Hughes also served as the only dentist onboard an amphibious ship off Kuwait in 2004. She earned a Navy Commendation Medal and a Letter of Appreciation for Outstanding Orthodontic Service from the U.S. Navy. She practices in ARCH’s Brockton, Canton and Randolph offices.

Dr. Chavez was recently reappointed to the Medical Staff of Brigham and Women’s Hospital as an Associate Surgeon to the Adjunct Staff in the Department of Surgery. He has been affiliated with the teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School since 1978.

ARCH Orthodontics is the Official Orthodontist of Miss Massachusetts, the organization which sends a contestant to the nationally-televised Miss America Pageant in January.
