Learning the latest in practice management software at New Orleans conference

With the goal of maintaining its position at the leading edge of practice technology, Dr. Robert Chavez and Dr. Andrew Chase of ARCH Orthodontics took seven staff members to the recent TOPSfest 2012 Conference in New Orleans. ARCH uses TOPS advanced Orthodontic practice management system software that’s used in 22 countries.

ARCH Orthodontics, with 9 offices south of Boston and on Cape Cod, recently moved to a Mac-based system enabling staff to provide the most up-to-date equipment and advancements for diagnosis, treatment planning and patient education. “This is in keeping with our practice’s mission and vision to exceed patient expectations, to provide the finest orthodontic services, to continually educate ourselves, and to maintain the highest technological standards available,” Dr. Chavez said. Participants took courses in the clinical, billing and communications realms and learned cutting-edge technology for these and other areas.

Participants attended a range of seminars, posed questions to consultants, connected with other users from across the U.S., and met TOPS founder and CEO Dr. Mark Sanchez and TOPS programmers.

“Our practice prides itself on offering patients the latest treatments and techniques,” said Dr. Chase. “We want our patients’ experience to be the friendliest and most comfortable possible at every step, and we want each patient’s visit to our office to be the greatest part of their day.”

TOPS attendee, ARCH’s Insurance Coordinator Beckie Anderson, said, “It was great to learn, among other topics, the ways we can more effectively e-file insurance claims for patients. Now we’ll know faster if treatment is covered, or the reasons if not covered. It was a great experience.” Wendy Parker-Smith, office administrator at ARCH’s new Cape Cod offices in Hyannis and Orleans said, “I’m new to ARCH and their software program. The classes were very beneficial.”
