LOCAL ORTHODONTISTS’ FOCUS GOES BEYOND YOUNG PATIENTS’ MOUTHS

In addition to helping their young patients to improve their smiles through Orthodontics, Dr. Robert Chavez and his son Dr. Andrew Chase of ARCH Orthodontics have a long and proud record of involvement in youth activities that goes way beyond their young patients’ mouths.

This year, ARCH is sponsoring: In Canton – the Angels (age 7 boys instructional team), and the Green Giants (girls softball, grades 6, 7 8); In Westwood – Dodger K-ball league; in Bridgewater – Girls softball team.

Recently, ARCH Orthodontics was a sponsor of the YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day and had exhibits promoting healthy smiles and good oral hygiene habits at five Old Colony Y’s.

As part of its ‘Patient of the Quarter’ program, ARCH chose Griffin Lincoln, a fourth-grader at the Kennedy School in Canton, to acknowledge his community service. Griffin surpassed his fundraising goal, collecting over $5,300 to help kids beat cancer at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Both Drs. Chavez and Chase have participated in Operation Smile, an organization that helps disadvantaged children with cleft palate and other oral deformities by providing them with free surgeries and dental care that they may not otherwise receive.

In addition, Dr. Chavez co-founded and serves as a Board member of the Stoughton Youth Commission.

ARCH Orthodontics, whose patients range in age from 4 to 80, is the Official Orthodontist of Miss Massachusetts, an organization that provides scholarships to talented young women. “It’s in line with our 38-year-old practice motto and life’s work: Creating Generations of Beautiful Smiles,” Dr. Chavez said.
