Ages 13 – 42: Improved Smiles and Self-Confidence for Kids, Parents

Andi Worden smiles. The 40-something mother of three ranging in age from 13 to 18, says, “We certainly appreciate the compliments, but these great smiles are a combination of good genes combined with a little help from ARCH Orthodontics, notably Dr. Andrew Chase and his skilled team.”

Andi understands the importance of nice teeth and a beautiful smile. She’s a Registered Nurse at Southcoast VNA, spending a lot of close-up time with patients and families. Husband Mark, a Software Engineer at Raytheon, attends meetings, makes presentations, and works closely with colleagues and it’s important to make a good impression.

Their children are all honors students and involved in sports and other extracurricular activities: Jacquelyn, 13, is finishing her last year at Martin Middle school, looking forward to 8^th grade and her first year at Taunton High. Cameron, 14, is finishing his freshman year at THS. Mom Andi says, “Jackie and Cameron were begging for braces for at least two years prior to getting them. Oldest son Drew, 18, is graduating THS and will major in Finance when he starts San Diego State University in the Fall. Andi says, “I had braces at age 13, but when my wisdom teeth came in, they were impacted and my teeth were all pushed back to their crooked position by my early 20s. And after hearing Mark complain about his teeth for years —  then watching how quickly our children’s teeth moved with braces – we knew it was our turn to improve our smiles.”

In order to cover most of the costs, Mark and Andi each took out dental insurance with their employers’ plans which covered a good portion of the Orthodontic treatments. Andi started an HSA (Health Savings Account) for the difference. With this plan, Andi and Mark’s Orthodontic work is completely covered.

Mark and Andi’s clear braces surprise their friends and family. They hear, “I didn’t even notice you were wearing braces!” on a regular bases. In order for one to notice the braces, Mark and Andi have to give a full tooth smile. One male friend said, “Boy, the braces make Andi look even younger!”
