(ISSUED Fall 2014) —  Not long after Lindsey Marie Davis  of  Canton joined the staff of ARCH Orthodontics, she became a patient.

Lindsey, who serves as Scheduling Coordinator at the practice’s Stoughton and Canton offices, recently got braces by Dr. Andrew Chase.

Lindsey says, “I had braces as a teenager but I didn’t wear my retainers so my teeth shifted. I’m a bit older than most patients, but another staff member and I got them on the same day. We make each other feel better about having them. We take weekly pictures and we’re already seeing a change which is awesome.”

“Having a perfect smile will definitely help me with my self-confidence,” says Lindsey, a Bruins and Red Sox fan who attends concerts at every opportunity. “I get to share stories and advice with the patients which is also very cool! I love seeing the progress in treatment with  our patients, the smile on their faces when they are told they will be getting their braces off soon,  and will be able to see their perfect smile. And that will soon also be me! It’s especially exciting because I love to laugh.”

Before joining ARCH, Lindsey studied Culinary Arts at Blue Hills Regional Technical High.

Veterans, Military Personnel and Their Families Are Offered Courtesy ‘Thank You’ Discounts

(FALL/WINTER 2014)  — To mark Veteran’s Day on November 11 and  honor Veterans and all those currently serving in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces –and their families – ARCH Orthodontics is continuing a tradition and offering a special courtesy discount of 5% off the cost of an Orthodontic treatment plan.

Dr. Chase’s father, Dr. Robert Chavez who founded ARCH 40 years ago in Stoughton, said he is especially proud to have on ARCH’s Orthodontic team Dr. Janeen Hughes (photo). Events of 9/11 inspired her to change her plans and become a dentist with a Marine unit headed for Iraq. Dr. Hughes also served as the only dentist onboard an amphibious ship off Kuwait in 2004. She earned a Navy Commendation Medal and a Letter of Appreciation for Outstanding Orthodontic Service from the U.S. Navy. She practices in ARCH’s Brockton, Canton and Randolph offices.

ARCH Is The Official Orthodontist of Miss Mass. for 5^th Year 

(Issued Fall 2014) —   October is National Orthodontic Health Month and to call attention to the importance of properly aligned teeth and a great smile, ARCH Orthodontics welcomed Miss Massachusetts 2015, Lauren Kuhn, to town to tape a cable TV program.  This is the fifth consecutive year that ARCH is the Official Orthodontist of the Miss Massachusetts Scholarship Foundation. During the program, ‘Prime Time Local’ hosted by local resident and Marketing/PR consultant Stan Hurwitz, the doctors discussed the best age for an initial Orthodontic evaluation (age 7), the positive impact that a healthy smile has on a person’s self-confidence and outlook throughout life, and the practice’s long-time involvement in communal activities – a culture of giving back to the communities they serve.

Lauren is a second-year student at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.  While majoring in biology at Gonzaga University in her native Washington state, her undergraduate studies took her to Turkey and Zambia. There she became passionate about bringing high quality dental care to underserved communities.  Lauren was 4^th runner-up in the Miss America Pageant held in Atlantic City in September.  She is an accomplished pianist.
