Says “Life is always full of reasons to share your beautiful smile.”
(ISSUED FALL 2014) — Dr. Brad Woland of Boston, with over 20 years of experience in dentistry, has joined the practice of ARCH Orthodontics.
The announcement was made by Dr. Robert Chavez who founded ARCH exactly 40 years ago in Stoughton, Mass. The practice operates 9 offices south of Boston and on Cape Cod.
On joining ARCH Orthodontics, Dr. Woland says, “I joined ARCH because they share my passion for helping people of any age to improve their health and the appearance of their smiles. I eagerly look forward to each day’s new challenges and the excitement of transforming people, giving them a new look and even a new outlook through greater self-confidence. I have always followed ARCH’s philosophy, to make a patient’s visit the best part of their day.”
Dr. Woland adds, “I enjoy developing long-term relationships with patients. ARCH has taken this to a whole new level where, in some cases, they’re seeing the third generation of the family. Nothing is more rewarding than having a family member recommend my services to their family and friends.”
He says, “It’s exciting that I play such an important role in a patient’s overall health and esthetics, often during an important time in their lives. Whether it’s a child or teen facing the day-to-day challenges of adolescence, or an adult looking to leave a lasting impression, I worked hard to master my profession and welcome these opportunities. Life is always full of reasons to share your beautiful smile.”
Dr. Woland also serves as a guest lecturer at Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he earned his D.M.D. and Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Orthodontics in the Department of Post-doctoral Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in Biology, Neurobiology and Physiology at the University of Maryland.
Dr. Woland has volunteered as a Teaching Assistant in Radiology and with Project White Coat, a career exploration program for children to learn about dentistry and oral health. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association and the Mass. Dental Society. Dr. Chavez and his son Dr. Andrew Chase said that Dr. Woland “brings the patient-centric attitude and team spirit that has helped ARCH Orthodontics to be so successful and grow over the last four decades.”
As part of its 40th anniversary celebration, ARCH Orthodontics is offering free consultations for all ages – a $500 value – and no-interest financing. You Look Mah-velous!
(Fall 2014) — It was one of the first-ever Selfies Photo Contests sponsored by an Orthodontic practice. And the judges had a tough time choosing a winner from the three dozen entries. Ultimately, they chose Sharon 8th grader Tiffany Marshall who shares her selfie picture with Red Sox mascot, Wally the Green Monster. The caption is, “It’s always a home run with Arch Orthodontics!”
The winning entry was announced by Dr. Robert Chavez and Dr. Andrew Chase (shown presenting top prize to Tiffany) of ARCH Orthodontics in Stoughton. The rules were simple: “Take a great, fun photo that shows off your braces or fabulously finished smile!” Tiffany won a Kindle Fire HD for her efforts.
“I had a lot of fun trying to come up with creative ideas,” Tiffany says. “I also think the selfie contest was a great way to get kids to be less self-conscious and give them more self-confidence and a chance to show off their great smile.”
Its’ still early for Tiffany to know what she wants to be, but she knows “it will be related to either fashion design or dance.” She’s in a dance company called Project Moves whose goal is to empower youth and bring attention to acts of injustice locally and around the world. The group’s Accept ME anti-bullying performance has been performed at high schools throughout Massachusetts and at the Joyce Theatre in NY. “Being a member of Project Moves Dance Company, makes me feel lucky to be able to change the world with our dance,” she says.
Tiffany says, “It’s important to give back to the people around you when you have the chance. Last year, for the Mitzvah Project for my Bat Mitzvah, I raised $800 for the Boston Ronald McDonald house. You never know what might come your way. In my case, a great smile is on its way with the help of braces and ARCH Orthodontics. What’s on your way?”

Bridgewater Girl Shows Off Her New ARCH Orthodontics Smile
HER SMILE IS MUSIC TO HER MOUTH — Meaghan Mulholland, a patient at the Bridgewater office of ARCH Orthodontics, was the lucky winner of two tickets for a One Direction concert at Gillette Stadium. It may have been a highlight of Meaghan’s summer, and gave her an opportunity to flash her beautiful new smile for the English-Irish pop boy band and 50,000 other fans. Shown is ARCH’s Dr. Andrew Chase presenting the hard-to-get tickets. In the contest, each new referral by a current patient earned one contest entry. The winner was chosen in a random drawing. “There’s a connection between the band’s name and our philosophy,” says Dr. Chase. “A great smile and healthy mouth point you in ONE DIRECTION – toward greater self-confidence and better all-around health.” Dr. Robert Chavez adds, “Through this contest and other creative and fun programs, ARCH helps to fully engage patients in their treatment and the improvement of their oral health.”
ARCH Orthodontics, now in its 40th year, is the Official Orthodontist of Miss Massachusetts.
